Global Midwest Alliance, founder of Midwest Clean Tech and the Private Sector Liaison Office to the World Bank Group, invites you to our final program in the 2014 Innovation, Growth and Globalization Series.  Throughout the year, this series has highlighted industry expertise, innovation and technology, and global opportunities across growth-oriented industry sectors. This program focuses on clean technology.

The Clean Tech Program
Innovative technologies across clean tech sectors have boomed in recent years, responding to universal resource constraints world-wide.  As we see traditional resources rebound, what are the trends in clean tech?  Will cities around the globe continue on the sustainable path?  What are the opportunities for innovators and investors alike?

This program will focus on new developments across clean tech, showcasing new competitors in the field.  Innovations offering opportunities for future growth from active entrepreneurs will be highlighted along with global areas of growth and opportunity, in both projects in emerging markets and potential for collaboration here at home.  Our panel discussions and keynote, Integrating Tomorrow's Technology into Today's Energy Networkpresented by David Carroll, President and CEO of Gas Technology Institute, will provide the ideal background for the Polsinelli Innovation Competition, featuring a showcase of the top five finalists, three of whom will be announced as competition winners.

Polsinelli Innovation Competition
The Polsinelli Innovation Competition, an innovation competition in its sixth year, has established itself as a recognizable contributor, successfully supporting and fostering new technologies across the Midwest region.  Companies submitting entries are required to provide solutions to global challenges, offering competitive returns for investors and customers.   Products, services and processes eligible for entry must improve and promote the productive and responsible use of natural resources, reduce or eliminate negative ecological impact and provide superior performance at lower costs compared to other approaches.

Entries are evaluated by a panel of experts representing regional universities, venture capitalists and business executives familiar with clean technology.  Competition judges are high-level members of the Midwest region’s technology and investment community. Finalists have been awarded modest cash prizes and the Illinois Institute of Technology has provided space at the University Technology Park, home to previous winners and other entrepreneurs.

Seats are limited. Please register on or before October 21, 2014.
